JAMZ Cheer Camp

JAMZ Cheer Camp is a one‑day event attended by all cheerleaders in AVYFC and hosted by JAMZ Cheer & Dance. Athletes learn choreography, creative stunts, play games, and earn spirit sticks, participant ribbons, and specialty skill ribbons throughout the day. Each team also decorates a themed pop‑up canopy for a contest. Fun fact Bakersfield Buckeyes won the pop‑up contest in 2025!

Homecoming week fun

Homecoming week brings extra excitement and team spirit to our season. We celebrate with themed dress‑up days, fun activities, and special recognition at the homecoming game, including banners, sashes, and announcer shoutouts. We also host a parent dance, where families join their athletes on the sidelines and during halftime, making Homecoming a memorable experience for everyone!

K.C. Fair Performance

Our cheerleaders take the stage at the local county fair, bringing big spirit and even bigger smiles as part of our ongoing community involvement. Performers receive free admission, making it a favorite event for our athletes. After showcasing their routines and representing the Buckeyes with pride, teammates and families get to enjoy the fair together with rides, food, games, and a full day of unforgettable fun.

Baby Bucks Camp

Baby Bucks Camp is a special week where all levels of our cheer program practice together, and children ages 3–5 can sign up for a fun, beginner‑friendly camp experience. Throughout the week, our littlest athletes learn a halftime routine and basic cheers, and they receive a Baby Bucks Camp shirt, poms, and a bow. This camp is designed to be toddler‑friendly with low commitment, giving young children a chance to experience cheer in a fun, welcoming environment.

Pin Parties

A Pin Party is both a team‑bonding activity and a long‑standing cheer tradition. For competitions, athletes decorate clothespins with encouraging messages and “pin” them to other cheerleaders and teams to spread positivity and connect with the wider cheer community. We proudly take part in this tradition and even host our own pin parties, where an entire day or practice is dedicated to decorating pins together.

AVYFC Cheer Comp.

All Valley Youth Football and Cheer hosts its very own cheer competition each season, bringing every team in the league together for a day filled with spirit, teamwork, and friendly competition. It’s a special moment for our athletes to showcase their hard work, support one another, and celebrate the community we’ve built. Even our Minis get their time to shine, performing an exhibition routine that always steals the crowd’s hearts.

Trunk or Treat Bakersfield Christmas Parade

Bakersfield Buckeyes proudly take part in a community Trunk‑or‑Treat event during the Halloween season. Athletes are welcome to come in costume or simply join in to help pass out candy, share flyers, and spread Buckeye spirit. Whether they’re handing out treats or trick‑or‑treating themselves, it’s a fun, festive way for our athletes to connect with the community and celebrate Halloween together.

We proudly participate in the Bakersfield Parade each year, showing our Buckeye spirit as we walk the route and cheer for the community. It’s a simple but meaningful tradition our athletes enjoy, and a great way for families to see the Buckeyes out in the heart of Bakersfield.
